When Early Theft Detection is activated, a geo-fence
is placed around your vehicle. If the vehicle is moved
outside of this fence, a SmartAlert Advisor will contact
you to determine whether the vehicle is in your
control or if it has been stolen. If the vehicle has
been stolen, you will be asked to contact the police
and file a report. Once the stolen-vehicle report is
filed, SmartAlert will work with the police to track and
recover your vehicle.

You can activate and de-activate Early Theft
Detection using your computer, a web-enabled
mobile device or by calling an Advisor, so you
will always know if your vehicle is within the
area that you create.
