What is the difference between skyway and SmartAlert systems?
SmartAlert is a Ford Authorized Accessory and is sold by Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealers. Skyway is sold by all other dealers.
What is the difference between Advantage and non-Advantage products?
Skyway and SmartAlert offer stolen vehicle recovery for as long as you own your vehicle. Skyway Advantage and SmartAlert Advantage offer lifetime stolen vehicle recovery and also include online features like Live Tracking, Early Theft Detection, Zone Alerts, Speed Alerts, and Historical Location.
What vehicle makes and models are supported?
Skyway and SmartAlert can be installed in almost any vehicle. The unlock feature is not supported in all vehicles, so please contact your dealership to determine whether this feature is available for your vehicle.
Where can I purchase a system?
Skyway and SmartAlert are sold only at authorized automobile dealerships. To find a dealer near you, click on the Get Skyway button on our home page.
How much do skyway and SmartAlert cost?
Prices for our service products are set by the dealership.
How long do my Advantage features last?
It depends upon the where you purchased the system, so check with your dealership. Before your Advantage subscription lapses, you can renew them online or by calling an Advisor. While your Advantage features last for a pre-defined period of time, you will still enjoy the Stolen Vehicle Recovery features for as long as you own the vehicle.
How much does it cost to renew my Advantage features?

If I purchase skyway or SmartAlert (non-Advantage) now, can I add Advantage features later?
Yes. You can upgrade by logging into your online account or by calling a skyway Advisor at 1-866-975-9929.
How does Early Theft Detection work?
When Early Theft Detection is activated, a geo-fence is placed around your vehicle. If somebody starts the vehicle and drives it a short distance, skyway will contact you on your primary phone number to alert you to the violation.
How does skyway work with police to locate and recover my vehicle?
In the event that your vehicle is stolen, skyway will contact the police after a stolen vehicle report is filed and give them access to our system in order to track your vehicle.
Can I access my account on my web-enabled mobile device?
You can log into your account at www.myskyway.mobi to unlock your vehicle and activate/de-activate Early Theft Detection.
Will anybody know that I have the system in my vehicle?
No. The system is concealed within your vehicle and there is no external antenna.
How many tracking minutes do I receive each month?
Tracking minutes are unlimited, as are the rest of the features with your system. You may call skyway Advisors as often as you need to. All other features are also unlimited, so there are no “per-click” charges to worry about.
What if my vehicle is stolen and not recovered?
Within the first two years you are covered with our Limited “No Risk” Guarantee. If your vehicle is stolen and Inilex can’t provide police with a location within 24 hours, we will reimburse you the purchase price of the system, up to $799 for skyway and SmartAlert and $999 for skyway and SmartAlert Advantage.
Can I transfer the system from one vehicle to another?
The system is hard-wired into the vehicle, so moving it from vehicle to vehicle frequently is not recommended. However if you purchase a new vehicle and want to re-install the system in that vehicle your dealership will be able to remove from your old vehicle and install it in the new one (transfer fees may apply). Be sure to call skyway with your new vehicle information.

Who can sell Skyway and SmartAlert?
Our products are sold only at authorized new and used car dealerships. They are not available at retail or “big-box” stores.
How do I sign up to be a dealer?
Click on “Be a Dealer” at www.myskyway.com and fill out the form. Once you are authorized, you will be sent a username and password that will allow you to access your secure dealer site.
Who installs the system?
Your dealership installs the product or you can make arrangements with a third-party installer to complete installations.
